What exactly is eLearning?

In this course, you will learn about the various applications of eLearning and how it can contribute to the success and versatility of your training programs. You will also learn theories and best practices for creating effective eLearning content.

Our on-site training and consulting services will demonstrate how your company can incorporate eLearning into its training plan. This course is designed for training professionals transitioning into eLearning, and it can be customized to meet your specific training needs.

Instruction includes demonstrations of three of the industry-leading software tools for eLearning: Articulate Studio, Adobe Captivate, and Articulate Storyline.

You can use Articulate Studio to transform your PowerPoint presentations into interactive training modules. The instructor will demonstrate the software’s suite of four programs:

• Presenter

Adobe Captivate

Adobe Captivate allows you to create custom training solutions. In this section, the instructor will demonstrate the basic tasks for creating an eLearning course:

• Opening the program and navigating the basic user interface
• Using templates
• Creating blank projects
• Enriching your training with the following features:
  • Objects toolbar
  • Properties panel
  • Library panel
  • Timeline
  • Skin editor
• Recording software demonstrations
• Previewing and publishing your course

Articulate Storyline

You can develop custom eLearning courses with Articulate Storyline. The instructor will demonstrate the basic tasks for creating an eLearning course:

• Creating stories, scenes, and slides
• Building slides with buttons, layers, states, hotspots, and triggers
• Enhancing your content with shapes, images, videos, characters, and screen recordings
• Recording, importing, and editing audio
• Developing free-form quizzes
• Updating the player design
• Previewing and publishing your course
