Wherever there are communities of deaf people, over time, sign languages have developed. Love and serve your deaf and partially deaf friends and neighbors by learning how to communicate with them!

A common misconception is that all sign languages are the same worldwide or that sign language is international. Each country generally has its own native sign language. Some countries have more than one. Sign languages may share similarities to each other.
